Sport Talent Search Scholarship 2021
Applications are hereby invited from the eligible players of Assam for award of Sports Talent Search Scholarship for the year 2021 – 22 as per the following terms and conditions:
i) The applicant must be a citizen of India and a resident of Assam.
ii) The applicant’s age should not be more than 19 years on 31st March, 2021, in case of School Students and should not be more than 25 years on 31st March, 2021,in case of College and University Students.
iii) The applicants shall apply only in one discipline in which he/she had achieved highest performance during the financial year from 01/04/2020 to 31/03/2021 in the National and State Level Championship.
iv) All members of Winners and Runners – up teams in case of Team Event, and First, Second and Third position holders in Individual Event in the State/National Level Championship shall be eligible to apply for the Scholarship.

STATE LEVEL
Members of Champion/Runners-up teams in case of Team Event and those who have won the first three positions in Individual Event in the State Championship, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare Assam, State Sports Associations and Zonal Inter University Competitions organized by the respective University State Board shall be eligible for the Scholarship. Sports person intending to avail Scholarship under Sports disciplines having more than one Functional Organization within the State of Assam or India shall not be entertained

NATIONAL LEVEL
Members of Champion /Runners-up teams in case of Team Event and those who have won first three positions in individual event in the National Championship, organized by the School Games Federation of India, National Sports Federation, Sports Authority of India and Inter Zonal All India Inter University Competitions Organized by All India University Sports Control Board shall be eligible for the Scholarship
Sports Scholarship 2021 Amount:
a. State Level-The amount of the Scholarship shall be
Rs. 12,000/- Gold Medal,
Rs. 10,000/- Silver Medal and
Rs. 8,000/-Bronze Medal.
b. National Level the value of the Scholarship shall be
Rs. 20,000/-Gold Medal,
Rs. 18,000/-Silver Medal and
Rs. 16,000/- Bronze Medal.
*Application of fulltime employees will not be eligible for the award, if he/she is working in Govt. Dept. /Undertaking
*The Scholarship shall be awarded for 1 year and one time only
How to Apply Sports Scholarship 2021
The Applicants shall collect Application form from their respective District Office of the District Sports Officer from 1st August to 15th August, 2021. The last date of submission of application form in their respective Districts Office of the District sports Officer is 15th September, 2021
No Applications will be issued and received directly by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam in favour of any Applicant
