Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare Assam Essay Competition 2021
Essay Writing Competition organized by Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam with reference to “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”
e-Essays are invited from the students of the following categories :
Category I- Class 6-8
Category II- Class 9-12
Category III- Degree Level
A participant can write an E-Essays on the following topics :
Category-I : Necessity of Sports in life and the sports you would like to play.
Category – II : Sports and the opportunities it holds in building one’s Character and Career.
Category – III : How to create a Sporting atmosphere in the State to make Assam the top sporting State in the Country.
Prize Money :
Category – I : 1st Prize – Rs 2000/-, 2nd Prize – Rs 1500/-, 3rd Prize – Rs 1000/-
Category – II : 1st Prize – Rs 2500/-,2nd Prize – Rs 2000/-,3rd Prize – Rs 1500/-
Category – III : 1st Prize – Rs 3000/-,2nd Prize – Rs 2500/-,3rd Prize – Rs 2000/-
Terms and Conditions:
i) The competition is open for students of Assam only.
ii) Essay in pdf format to be submitted through email (akam.dsyw@gmail.com ) on or before 15th December, 2021. No other mode/medium would be considered for evaluation.
iii) A participant should also attach a copy of the identity card of the institution in which he is studying.
iv) Multiple submissions will not accepted.
v) Word limit: 500 words (maximum).
vi) The essay can be written either in English or Assamese.
vii) E-Essays will be judged by our eminent panelists based on originality. Plagiarism will not be accepted.
viii) Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam, does not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringement of intellectual property carried out by the participants.
ix) Participants are required to fill and share the Participant Form which includes details such as name, photo, complete postal address, email id, phone number, institution name and address.
xii) Participants are to make sure that they share both their entry and Participant Form. Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.
Any dispute or any issue related to this competition would be decided by Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam, which will be final. Binding.
No request relating to claims of re – evaluation of the entries will be considered.
At any stage of evaluation, if any entry is found to violate the guidelines, the entry will be removed from evaluation process without giving any intimation.
Participation is not allowed to the relatives of the employees of Sports & Youth Welfare Department and its subsidiaries.
E-certificates will be provided to all the participants and winners. Result will be announced on 24th December, 2021.
